Does GSK pocket the difference if the selling price exceeds the costs (production & royalties) of any chinese production? Simcere you would think would need to make a profit too, but who knows in China maybe not?

Anyhow does all seem a bit strange if extra revenue is up for grabs, not to mention the possible lives that could be saved and there is no cooperation going on between all these parties. Something smells a bit witty about what's going on in China.

PS Have you seen the original agreement between BTA and GSK back in 1990 or so? Wondering what is allowed to be done or not by BTA, to support other sources of royalty revenue if GSK shows no interest.
