    Yeah, but they look like something of a sacred cow. They've already received some alms from Rudd(and others) and look set to get some more. There are some more details on ACLs position in these articles;

    http://www.manmonthly.com.au/Article/Bearing-up-but-more-support-needed/474555.aspx
    http://www.examiner.com.au/news/local/news/economy-business-it-finance/ge-has-changed-the-way-it-does-business-and-we-are-too-small-for-them-now39-300-acl-jobs-ha/1469872.aspx

    The latter article suggests they owe $3.5M to GE and another $3M shared between Ford and Holden, not $7M to "a finance company" as the former article and that of the ABC suggest, but that's the media for you.

    The most encouraging news out of all these revelations is from the most recent article of The Examiner;

    "Premier David Bartlett yesterday said the State Government would look at a 50-50 offer with the Federal Government.

    And the Federal Government has agreed to look at a loan after previously refusing to do so."

    Even the Libs care about ACL;

    They look like a safe enough customer for the time being.
