    Shorting doesn't lower the price. when someone shorts a stock they are essentially gambling that a stock will go down on it's own and they will profit from that. (there are tricks though)
    Shorters tend to be better educated than the average retail investor so if you see a large quantity of them swarming a particular stock it's often for good reason but having said that shorters get it wrong just like the rest of us and when they do the result is spectacular because the more wrong they get it the quicker it pushes up the price as they panic to cover their shorts.

    Do more research into investing please or be prepared to take loses to learn the hard way (like I did)
