2. Possibly the silliest thing that Aus Companies do is hand over cheap shares to suitors who also use shorting to lower the sp. They know most mining is going to take 2 - 4 years before production.
3. During that boom mining period where our dollar and productivity were high it must have been a concern for foreign investment, so they were shorting as a gift.
4. Either Company buys shares on market or the suitor buys on market but at a vwap of 14 days and 5% discount.
Try and take that short toy away.
