They demerged to protect their best asset, the Samphire project. Samphire uranium now has no ASX costs associated with it and will therefore be able to survive this downturn.
I dont see what everyones problem is, we are now shareholders in two companies. One can go anywhere and the other I suspect will eventually re-list (longterm).
I dont see this as anything but a smart move.
Just look at the bank balance pre demerger and tell me what options they had?
