Glad you took no offence LH as none was intended.
You are right its always been about producing low cost hydrogen with as little Co2 as possible, which they have not only done but stumbled on a remarkable product that itself is at the forefront of a massive industry that affects just about any industry you can name.
Hythane is still going to be a huge market and with low emission, low cost H2, it will be a goer.
For any Newb not to sure on the hole HCNG thing, its all to do with the heavy vehicle market, trucks, buses etc.
Cars are already are heading down the alternate fuel route but up scaling the same technologies for the heavy vehicle market is costly and troublesome.
Also roll out of H2 infrastructure just for cars also isnt cost effective, so by using existing NG infrastructure and adding H2 derived from the NG (CH4), you have a very clean heavy vehicle fuel with the added benefit of creating H2 infrastructure for H2 ice or fuel celled vehicles.
I just love nanotubes :D
