The products developed by TIS and AVH may treat similar conditions but they are completed different in application. IMO the market is big enough for both products and as other posters have pointed out, the TIS product is easier and cheaper to apply.

How does ReCell work?
The ReCell kit has specialised compartments that help to separate skin cells and place them in a special spray fluid. The kit uses a special formulation of an enzyme called Trypsin to process the skin cells. Trypsin is naturally found in the pancreas and is used here to break down the link that keep the cells attached to each other.

What sort of wound can be treated?
The ReCell suspension can be used to treat wounds and other skin defects to enhance wound healing. It can also be used to minimise scaring and reintroduce skin colour (pigment). Some surgeons use ReCell to treat acute wounds such as burns, scars or during an operation such as cosmetic surgery to enhance healing and reduce the formation of scars and blotchy skin.
Indications include:

•Treatment of partial thickness skin defects, including burns and scalds.

•Scar reconstruction and other skin defects.
