Buddy I don't really have a clue why Malcolm left. Maybe he had just had enough of dealing with the Chinese or dealing with (well within their rights) grumpy shareholders. Pretty sure it was his decision though.
More importantly the appointment looks an excellent one. He is a Cockatoo man and a big believer in the underground so that's good. He has run a magnetite operation at Grange which is a plus. Now I know nothing about Grange but they have a majority Chinese controlling shareholder which I imagine our new man will NOT be keen to replicate here at PLV which is another big plus for me.
