Yeah, this company is a breath of fresh air. No hype. Regarding recession, I assume they will use more of their bad loan provisions in a bad recession but they have a buffer. Recession is bad for most companies but at least they are conservative with their upfront provisions.
My only complaint about CCP is that the ASX volumes are relatively low and there are days of amateurish clumsy trading where small volume sellers seem to put in trades at market and move the price down 1% (or more) in one trade - crazy stuff, assuming no questionable objective is underlying it. It plays havoc with the algorithmic trading. We are seeing some of that today. Longer terms as they get bigger, I expect we see more depth.
Over days and months, it is of no consequence of course.
