On the topic of 10 baggers, it's like trying to strike it rich...

On the topic of 10 baggers, it's like trying to strike it rich prospecting. The way I look at it is risk and what u are prepared to do about it. My strategy involves backing a few horses (i know some will identify one or two and back it to the hilt) as i'm risk averse but saying that I'm backing micro caps and small caps and my time horizon is usually 2-5 years (unless something changes). So the stocks I look at are things like MBE, BAL, SOM etc. (what I look at is the business case? Global traction for product or services? Management?). Finding these stories early is not easy but to be honest I'm happy if I double my money over 10 stocks then find that one ten bagger. Still there are ten baggers out there and i have been in and out of some of them like 1PG, AJX, MIG just to name some recent ones (these are more risky businesses as they have 0 profits but have loads of promise). Anyway I'm always happy to share ideas as investing isn't easy and its always a learning experience. So in summary my 10 baggers is more like 10 1 baggers which means theoretically less risk as i spread my investments around instead of putting it in the one basket on more riskier stocks.
