Shouldn’t be a surprise - pretty normal for a company to trade up towards an offer price, even if not confirmed. Just look at Crown, Sydney Airport, Afterpay etc. Clearly the offer was too cheap though. Just a first salvo? These company execs are more strategic than many seem to realise.
