I've had a bucket list for nearly 10 years. It started off as an informal thing just in my thoughts and now it is an actual written list. I also add new items to it as I cross off old ones or I develop new interests.

When I was in my 20s I gravitated more towards the travel or 'action' items rather than the tangible goals of acquiring wealth. So because I chased the travel goals and 'seeing x place' I know am a bit behind the 8-ball when compared to my peers in terms of wealth. All tho, they have all said they would have loved to have done the things I have done before getting a mortgage.

as for legacy - well i believe that is your children - another thing i am behind the 8-ball compared to my friends. But sometimes after a few beers they admit they sometimes wish they were in my shoes.
