I'm 39 and consider myself a bear although not of the cataclysmic, end-of- the world variety. Incidentally, i bought a house in Perth's eastern suburbs in 2003 and sold it in 2009 for triple what i bought for so we're not all just bitter morons. However i am honest enough to realise it for what it was- a total fluke and a once in a lifetime windfall. Prices here in Perth remain ridiculously overpriced. 400 grand buys you an okay house in some god awful suburb 30 k's from the cbd with increasing social problems, tattooed morons in vn commodores, little in the way of services, and social isolation. It is little wonder that those that can afford to are fleeing towards the inner city or the hills/rural edge.
