Yeah different broker. Main reason for using Commsec for LTH is they are chess sponsored. Main reason for IG for the short term and day trades is much lower brokerage. Selfwealth is also popular. Not sure why you can't have more than one Commsec account. I do have a second one that I muck around with the Commsec pocket etfs. Having just done end of year numbers, I cringe at the totals for brokerage for the year.
