The adjustments to their plans is only in the headline data limit not the price. This therefore has no impact on their revenue or profits. Its simply a marketing ploy to have the top headline rate - they seem to fight over this with iPrimus. But in reality nothing has actually changed - 99% of customers dont care if they get 100 GB or 130 GB per month (99% of them can't use that much anyway).

They are getting the bulk of the ADSL customer sign ups. Telstra is losing fixed broadband customers, Optus and iiNet are gaining slightly - but none as fast as TPG is. The growth is definately there.

TPG needs market share - the greater the number of customers the better the position it will be in to move across to the NBN. (Numbers = volume discounts).

If the PWK transaction succeeds, it will be only the 3rd integrated telco in Australia - with access to infrastructure that will dramatically cut its costs. This infrastructure will be very important in the NBN environment as it will be what differentiates the telcos from each other (as NBN will only go to the closest competitive offload point). Other ISPs will have to buy off Telstra, Optus or TPM.

Customer complaints (as measured by TIO stats) have been steadily declining. All other telcos have seen their complaint levels rise in the last year. Expect further improvement.
