@BobF.... As a holder for 16 years... since GPB days.... this latest announcement did hurt a little... (mainly because my wife wants a new house! )
What has confused me most is that the announcement seems to undermine my understanding of the AKP strategy to simultaneously pursue the R&D and the capacity to mass produce. I had thought that this strategy meant we had agreements already in place with TOWER SEMI CONDUCTOR. I also thought this strategy would include the obvious need for the production of both demonstration kits and engineering samples for potential customers.
It would appear neither of these things are in place and they are now scrambling.
So I have a few questions;
1. As our only fabricator ...... what is the status of our relationship with Tower Semi? Have they moved on for a while? Are they currently producing more chips for us? Is there an agreement with them, of any kind, to mass produce by the end of the year? Are AKP chips fully qualified in their plants?Are we pursuing a second fab as a safety net?
2. What is the plan re: packaging? Is the German packager standing by for mass production this year? Is there any agreement in place with them?
3. How long would it take an automotive company for example ...... someone progressive and aggressive like Tesla..... to take the engineering samples ... test and product design so they can confidently order chips?
4. Does AKP need a new CEO to take them from an R&D company to a commercial entity?
For the sake of transparency.... for the first time since my wedding 12 years ago.... I have sold a few shares but still holding majority of my stock. i have a buy order on just a little lower than the current share price.
