I am sure the numbers will reverse again given the panic in Victoria and renewed fear in NSW and QLD, by far the three biggest markets. I think the numbers will be abysmal for every player and the entire industry segment for a year or more. This is the ideal time to batten down the hatches, lift operational efficiency and shape long-term strategy so that they are best positioned when some normality resumes. It is possible that some of the competition will be cleared out by the downturn. So unless prepared for at least a 2 year haul I would not invest.
