If you need an explanation for why any non-Gold related stock would dip today in prices, you're in the wrong line of work.

Regardless, I think the general consensus for investors and long-term traders is that the impending Conoco deal with NSE will provide to be a substantial reason to stick around. The clock is ticking for third parties now; we all know that with a weakening economy or market sentiment (looking back at the drop during GFC) many of the major players make moves to secure assets, execute plays and make off like bandits.
