Agree with option one
If I bought below 30c/40c and was just trading MAE, with no concern for the upcoming sale announcement, I would have sold too.

Also the speeding ticket didn't help, but then look, it recovered in the end quite well. The capper at 45c could have sold into the buy side near the end, so unlikely he really wanted out, probably just wanted to keep the price down

Nothing goes up in a straight line every day too, and the chart looks more sustainable now
