Ethanol was brought up in parliament this morning again, the incentive rate per liter of ethanol was to be determined - at least this is how it was presented - however the subject has been adjourned again.
There was also a mention of current ethanol imports, whilst this was not quantified, it is an interesting aspect for ico. The government seems to be convinced about the need for an ethanol blended fuel. The likely reasons are imho, greenhouse effects, prolonging the sustainability of current sorces of energy, and last but not least the rural voters. I think ICO is in a strong position to take full advantage out of this, and if not pulling the ethanol project off themselfes, ICO could be an easy takeover target. As I write, the parliament has just taken up the debate again.
