Back in 2011 a sharehlder action group forced the resignation of now disgraced Chairman Stephen Jones and his fellow board member and cheque writer James Greig. They also forced the resignation of Professor John Funder. Before this happened Jones sent out a threatening letter to shareholders warning them that if they were forced out, all existing board members would resign ( Dr Peter Corr, Goran Ando...). Well despite the threat, the existng directors reviewed their decision, and decided to stay on after Jones, Greig and Funder resigned. The fact that they are no longer on the board is because after an extensive review of operations, the company was rightly looking to the U.S. not Denmark. I have no doubt Novo played us with the RA trial design, our directors back then were clueless. Novo went very close to picking us up for next to nothing.
