As you can see from the images, the two 'mining' activity has an environmental footprint, and there are also impacts you can't visualize. Theres more to the lifecycle than just the mining, and I disagree this is the case.

NIMBY at the start, yes, but when they end up in landfill, will be a problem.

We didn't think that burning coal would be an issue either, did we?
