Public housing provides a great service to the community, it is not made up of just druggies and dole bludgers. State housing is for low income earners and that can be the granny next door that lost her husband, sole parents, pensioners, mentally disabled, physically disabled or anybody!
Most of these people do not choose their predicaments and you will find that most care for their houses/units and the elderly that are housed in pensioner units are usually more grateful than you could ever imagine.
You never know, it could be you asking for assistance one day!!!
