One of the long-term concerns I've got is that CNOOC is flying dangerously close to our block. Somehow IHS has managed to pin-point Dongfang 13-2, and if you allow for a margin of error you could say it is in our block. CNOOC to date, have not published the location.
The benefit to us, is that our well prospects are geologically analogous.
CNOOC must know this, so it raises the risk that they will drill into our block. The Chinese will always push the boundaries - no pun intended. I'm telling you now, if its a question of resources/money/land they'll through any relationship with Vietnam out the window.
