ETFs (say VAP) is for a longer term investor wanting exposure to the top 300 OZ stocks. There is a cut off to be eligible for distributions which are paid quarterly. A dividend “harvesting” strategy is not really practicable, and VAS is a gr8 opportunity to capture any upside movement in the ASX 300 and in the meantime to get a great mostly fully franked dividend yield.. It’s for those that find individual stock picking too time consuming or beyond their expertise. !
