I've posted all the IM weekly updates in the Graphite thread.   If you care to review those, you will see IM pretty much always says "The company said" and that, I suspect would be for "legal" reasons - IM could not legally state what a particular company said in their announcements (which is where they pick up their news from) was fact - it would get them into a whole heap of problems.

Just as HC has disclaimers about what posters say is not fact.
