I am always fascinated by human nature and peoples reactions to certain situations. It is interesting to notice that when a stock has a down few days the general number of comments on forums such as this dry up. Conversely when an upward day or two takes place robust supportive comments are in abundance. It is also a common human reaction to acknowledge positively anyone who agrees with a comment that substantiates your belief whilst shying away from reading or engaging with the alternative view. Hot Copper is a forum that predominately reinforces peoples positive views on a stock. It is in effect a self prophesying medium.
It is an interesting observation and is particularly relevant to investing.
