I get your comment and will point out there are hundreds of references as to what the current price range is for a GJ of gas. Look at annual reports for SANTOS SHELL ALINTA ORIGIN to name a few, and they are like $5 to $8GJ.
Now to use that as a calculator would be a ridiculous number. So we look at the risk and infrastructure, but most importantly what would a competitor or customer be prepared to pay for gas in ground?
Recent contracts of the last few years like BEACH and ORIGIN they were prepared to look at $1 to $2 GJ. Or you could look at Linc Energy or Carbon Energy valuations for syngas, see ASX release again off their web sites.
So to use half the lowest price I could dig up and halve it again, I would say that is conservative as you can get to put some thought into it.
but disagree with the way you ascribed the estimated value of a project (which is only a paper napkin assessment) / stock, that is not correct try stock v market cap, which would put it at a $3 stock
but agree should be around a $1.00.
The is still a hypothetical play till its proven.
