India's Nalco, Hindalco hike aluminium, product prices

India's aluminium giants National Aluminium Co. Ltd. and Hindalco Industries Ltd. said Monday that they have raised domestic prices of the metal and related products in line with a surge in the global market.
State-run Nalco has increased the average price of its aluminium products by INR8,000 a metric ton, while Hindalco has raised the price of aluminium by INR8,500/ton.
Both price hikes are effective from Monday, said the spokespersons of the two companies.
