The Paralana mineral deposits are on the plains country east of the flinders ranges located in flat gibber and sand plains surrounded by flogged out grazing land. Not so at Mount Gee, where if the deposit exists there are surrounded by hundreds of metres of solid granite in the midst of an area that would surpass Kakadu and the Kimberley for its natural significance.

If several hundred holes were drilled in the area in 1972, if the mineral is accessable, why wasn't it discovered then. If they missed the "new" deposit then, the strike must be very small.
