Yeah it's certainly not ideal. I've done a lot of social media/website managing for similar sized companies and they really do rely on their 'web guy' for any and all changes. Depending how long he has been gone it makes sense, but regardless, over a month is a bit much.
I also passed on advice on how to reclaim their FB page which they lost with former employees in 2017 (it has 18k likes).
