As you say, RS has a history of failed companies, he has more money than I do which came from the pockets of people who invested in those companies. Frankly, I wouldn't believe an announcement which said things were on track. One of the many reasons is that if things were on track (a track I never believed was realistic) there is no excuse for the lack of silence over the last few months. Actually, even in failure to meet the targets there is no reasonable excuse for the silence. If things have happened they're obliged to inform the market or stop trading. So have things happened positively or negatively? Not that AEB are alone in being an inappropriately silent of course.
It would be foolish to ignore the energy side of things when the company still says that's the main focus. Not that I have a much better outlook for the nutraceuticals.
I think you're being a little too extreme about predicting 1c in the short term. If you're still holding at this point I assume you're taking the 'I'm getting rich or going down with the ship' approach, because psychologically to sell now is to admit failure, and what could they possibly say at this point to convince someone to sell if they haven't already? Then you have the big players but they have other motives not to sell. RS won't desperately bail down to 1c for example!
I also think 25c is unrealistic. Sure, hypothetically if by some miracle they had managed a binding contract worth a sufficient amount from a credible buyer and they were producing bucket loads of product cheaply using technology which was revolutionary, they sure, I'd happily buy with open arms, but it's a bit like asking if I'd go to church if god personally visited, performed a few miracles and asked me to. Realistically, whatever they next announce, I doubt it will push above 25c. Admittedly that's probably more likely than 1c in the short term, but only if the volume and liquidity is small and it is only brief (just like the last few spikes). I actually doubt we'll see below 3-4c this year unless the company becomes insolvent.
Obviously this is not based on anything solid or factual, it's not advice, do your own research and make your own decisions.
