.....And further you may be forced to liquidate what is otherwise a good stock at a bargain basement price (for someone else) as a result of a margin call which then drives the price even lower.
The simple and obvious rule is if you use leverage never do it by way of a margin facility. Yet I have recently seen some otherwise really smart people get themselves caught on this yet again.
