    re: what's worrying greenspan? and others So if foreign currencies have taken as much as they can of the overspill out of the $US, where does the money go now. Will it go into precious metals? If so, then they will follow the cycle until they are also saturated, then what? The final act is the devaluation of the $US, and we all go down with it, and start the cycle over again. However as history doesn't repeat itself exacty, we may see a basket of currencies as the defacto reserve currency until the Chinese yuan attains that status, if ever. Perhaps the 'reserve currency' game is played out and we need a Bretton Woods meeting to give us something that will last another 50 years.
