He has to become more of a statesman and let the shadow minister step up also - present a well led team.
Abbott has certainly lifted his game in the past couple of weeks.
I can recall the debate between Abbott & Rudd on the health issue, and Rudd would not look at him which annoyed Abbott. This was the Rudd plan, and it worked then, but Abbott is now much more disciplined.
