    The short answer to this question is "Yes". AI's such as ChatGPT can process their own data, to certain extent, but human intervention is still considered necessary to ensure data is unbiased, ethical, and accurate.

    Another aspect that hasn't been mentioned in this thread regarding the sudden decline of Appen's business was a major change in data privacy. Apple enabled iPhone users to stop having their app and browsing data tracked by applications such as Facebook, Google and other online advertisers. Overnight, this made a big chunk of Appen's business redundant.
