If the price of gold settles around the $800 for a while - and over $A1,000 - it is likely that investors will realise there is some very good value out there. Our gold producers must be awash with cash. Where are they going to spend it? They'll need to replace reserves.
If the stories are right about mints around the world not being able to produce coins and ingots fast enough, it must be keeping the miners busy. The last thing they want is to be short of the raw material in the ground for next year or the year after.
We still need patience!
