I think that the primary reason that RSG is languishing has been summed up by JW's comment in the last CC.
RSG is a "show me" story now and we are waiting for that.
In the meantime the various signals such as the USD, USD gold price, other gold miners reports, general market sentiment, real interest rates are all going to impact on investors willingness or otherwise to have risk capital in the markets.
The last QR and CC did put some doubts in investors minds and, short sellers aside, share prices are set at the margins.
Marginal sellers (worried about RSG specifically or wider macro factors) currently outnumber marginal buyers (possibly waiting for JW to "show them" thinking it is a better risk-reward decision to wait).
Time will tell whether RSG is a rooster or feather duster.
Despite the strengthening USD and strong US equity markets it has been very encouraging how well USD gold has held up along with gold miners generally.
To counterbalance that, there have been a number of disappointing QR's and HY's from both Australian and North American gold producers recently.
Happy to keep my RSG position and give JW the time he needs to "show" the results of the last 3 years worth of work.
