on a whim, i went heavily in to shares. through aust super i can buy sell shares, diy super but fees and brokerage is all managed in house, so it keeps it all nice and simple for me. i have done better than i expected, up around 16% from when i started october till now. i have enough at the moment to purchase a property in full, but i will wait until it grows a bit more so i can keep some shares a well. my wife and i have around twelve yrs to retirement.
