kerry stokes has thrown a few chips at NHR
and basically done a partial takeover for $25m

by virtue of the $25m placement he receives majority board control(3 persons out of 5) and a 60 per cent stake in NHR but i think theirs possibly more good news to come, least of which are favorable sector and market conditions,very good 31/12/03 nhr results as a result of hih litigation well and truly put behind the company and a real likelyhood of a full takeover offer at some stage!

given that nhr has a 3% hire mkt share one's got to question the decision of such action?

longer term hidden agendas in conjunction with mr dale elphinstone 'on side'(caterpillar dealership in vic and tasmania)and kerry stokes(ch7) westrac company (caterpillar dealership in nsw and act) might be for both men to make a full takeover offer of all fully paid ordinary shares in NHR and then do a back door listing of their respective businesses into NHR and change of company name to 'CATERPILLAR AUSTRALIA LTD'
