    Hello Joel,

We will need to await the results of Ipernicas strategic review to establish the companies future direction. Ipernica has said it expects the review to be finalised by they end of May 2008. The review involves assessing various investment opportunities that complement the companies intellectual property assertion model aimed at substantially increasing shareholder value. My take on this is that the company may be seeking to invest in intellectual property initiatives that will provide a revenue stream to the company. But, we will have to wait and see if this is the case. The review will also consider capital management alternatives for the return of capital to shareholders. The review involves investment banking and taxation advice.

Joel, your specific question is how will Ipernica grow its business.

The companies recent 37 page presentation in summary stated that Ipernica identifies commercially valuable Intellectual Property in companiesand research institutions accross Australia and the Asia Pacific Region and generate revenue through:
    - Innovation licensing programs(share of royalty).
-Creation and management of high growth start-up technology companies(subsequent sale of equity investments)

Joel, The company is currently pursuing a number of breach of patent cases one of which is referred to as the Stat Mux II case. Nortel recently settled with Ipernica as did several other companies beforehand. The remainining cases are against Ericsson,Nokia Siemens Networks,Zhone Technoogies,UTStarcom,TellabsCarrier Access Corporation and Network Equipment Technologies. The case is being dealt with by the same court that ruled in Ipernicas favour against Nortel.

There is also an assertion action in Germany in respect to an SAR patent but goodness knows when that will be heard. Its been years already. I am aware that some of the USA companies that settled with Ipernica assigned some intellectual property directly to Ipernica as part of the settlement and also some Licensing rights. These may provide value in the future.

As at 19 March 2008, Ipernica reported that it had 10.5c net tangible assets per share, the 10.5c being fully cash backed.

I am going to contact the company and ask them if in a future report to the market they can detail all the IP they own directly and all IP assigned to Ipernica for a share of the Licensing rights together with where they are at with each one.

I hope this information is of of some use to you Joel and If you want more detail you could get it from Ipernicas ASX announcement of 19 March,2008.

    Cheers
    SAV
