I agree-I must admit I was a bit skeptical ahead of the announcement. However, Management has taken advantage of BHP's desire to be out without loss of reputation re treatment of employees and the environment and disquiet voiced by we know who to achieve an outcome which, from my experience in these sort of transactions, appears to have taken care of all potential issues.
Consequently IMO the shares are now a buy rather than a hold.
