wheat price on a tear, page-9

There's been from 60 to 80 mills rain across the Liverpool plains the last 10 days. Most canola is in and up. Looking good except for the odd bit waterlogged on heavy flat dirt. The plains are really wet now with water lying about. Most wheat not planted yet on LP, but in most other areas north of here it's in and up and looking OK. We won't roll now for 2 weeks till it drys enough and get some sun, and that would be about perfect timing for us.

The only ones complaining will be the cotton growers. Around here it wasn't ready to pick yet. The new round bale pickers weigh 35 tonnes. It's going to be a stuggle to get the machines over the ground on flat soft soil.

Cattle feed is OK. Plenty of feed oats in and looking good if the rust didn't get it.

    Cheers.
