    It's not that the Labor party MPs are cowardly, they HAVE to toe the party line and are NOT permitted to cross the floor. I don't know if any other Australian parties have this dictatorial policy as it is unusual. This from Wikipedia:
    "In Australia, one of the major parties (the Australian Labor Party) forbids its members from crossing the floor,[1] while amongst other parties it is rare."
