i have been expecting a bid from MQG for the last few months and have watched them slowly get a bigger and bigger chunk of MIG.

surely once they get to 19.99% they are going to launch a takeover and make it private. can you imagine Macquarie breaking up the fund and selling different assets to different investors all over the world and possibly even a few of Macquarie's unlisted infra funds.

they (Macquarie bank) are gona make big bucks from this and all those hedge funds shorting it are gona get hammered because it will end up jumping 20% when it finanly gets announced.

i doubt they will privatise MAP but you never know.
