I've just been out to lunch with a guy who has a lawyer friend who acts for Chinese buying property near here.
The lawyer says that Chinese are paying insane prices for houses around here because they're desperate to get their money out of China, they think it's going to crash.
If that's true it's more than likely the Chinese are not buying gold because of genuine affection and devotion to the '5000 year store of value' but to protect themselves from a possible economic storm, something I've mulled over in the past.

Anyway, gold tracking more or less as expected, downwards, a 'free-fall', could be arrested, temporarily at the lower line.
