whether gold is on an uptrend or down trend depends on the time horizon you look at and how you selectively cut the data.....over the last decade and the last five year it has still been the best performing commodity....and there are no facts that can dispute that.....sure it lost 11% over the last year....but look at the chart of an even smaller time horizon like the last two weeks and then tell us what "trend" gold is in :-)
