Mark, all very relevant to the gold story. Lots of research needs to be done by all interested in gold. As you say, take care in selecting stocks. gold should be held in small pieces and small units of silver coin, to buy bread etc. in the worst scenario. It's not sufficient to hack off small chips of gold to use and you will find that the retailer will not be able to give you change from a 5oz bar.
