I'd rather pay some tax, for each dollar gain, I keep ~ 72 cents (spread between super and family trust accounts). Now if I compound that out over 8 trades this calendar year, my (after tax) return = 263% this year, thus far, while the share price over that period is up 137%.
Having said that, the volatility in the sp in the 1st 4 months of the year was crazy good to me, though I don't see the big swings (volatility) in the sp moving forward for the next little while, so less opportunity and thus less trades.
