Well it looks to me like every short seller with an existing position
is now in the red. So the question is will their capacity of pain be
as strong as our capacity when the stock was in the low teens.
The other thing about short selling that can sometimes be a very
painful lesson is your potential loss is unlimited. There are folks who shorted
Tesla who can vouch for that fact.
When you look out over the near to medium term horizon it is difficult to see what
might happen to derail the progress of this company. I mean drive the share price
down substantially. On the other hand, there is so much possible good news to
happen, not the least of which is profitability, that these short sellers are really
between a rock and hard spot. I like visualizing the difficulty of their current
circumstance.
